Religions of the World Project

A closer look at religions around the world: We have examined many different religions from around the world. In this assignment, you and a partner will be comparing and contrasting Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.  

What:
·         You and a partner (optional) will be creating a Google Slides that conveys important details about Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
  • Your Google Slides should include 4 topics for each religion (choose from below) that will make at least 20 slides.  Make sure that you are creative and express your ideas thoroughly.
  • If you choose to work in a partnership you will be responsible for 6 topics for each religion.

Grading Rubric:

Introduction Slide (name, period, etc)   5pts
  • Topic 1 for each religion (pictures and description) – 20 pts
  • Topic 2 for each religion (pictures and description) – 20 pts
  • Topic 3 for each religion (pictures and description) – 20 pts
  • Topic 4 for each religion (pictures and description) – 20 pts
  • Creativity & layout = 15 points

Silk Road

The Silk Road – Trade Between East and West
Task: with a partner (Optional) you will research the Historical Significance and lasting effects of the Silk Road – the interlocking trade routes between Asia and Europe.

Each group of two must make one presentation. The presentation will include slides on the following topics including 3-4 bullets and pictures. DETAILS please. Show me that you understand the topic. DO not copy/paste information. If your learned information is not put into your own words, you will not receive credit.

THURSDAY (10-5-2017)

Mr. Fridinger was absent today.

In the meantime, today his classes worked on a few things...

1. We watched the news (http://www.cnn.com/cnn10) as a class and discussed its content. 

2. We read Chapter 2, Section 1 in the textbook (pages 29 - 34) and filled out a guided reading displaying our acquired knowledge. 

3. With the remaining time we either began working on Section 2 or we continued to work on our Mesopotamia Maps and Vocabulary.
